IT planning - track record
We list here some examples of planning assignments we have undertaken. If you would like to learn more about what we could do to help you, get in touch. We'd love to hear from you.
A national accounting firm
We helped the firm develop and implement a strategy for using IT that:
- Delivered a powerful range of client-facing, back office and administrative tools
- Significantly increased the efficiency of the business, allowing it to make the best use of both professional and support staff
- Established much improved internal and external communications including an innovative intranet and a more reliable Email system
- Promoted a stronger and more consistent corporate image across the entire spectrum of documents produced by the firm
- Helped it manage and increase its marketing efforts
- Reduced the cost of IT to significantly lower levels than its competitors
An aerospace company
We helped the company - a large, privately owned business - update its IT plans following a major acquisition. It was necessary to produce detailed plans very quickly to ensure the viability of the new business - which we were able to do.
We also managed to renegotiate a prohibitive hardware and bespoke software leasing contract between the acquired company and IBM. We negotiated outright purchase of the necessary software and equipment for less than one quarter's payment under the leasing agreement.
An expatriate management business
We investigated the needs of a small London-based expatriate management business.
We were intially asked to investigate the financial side of the business. However, it became apparent that what the business needed was a system that integrated the financial and operational halves of the business in order to ensure the accuracy and accountability of the client data held by the company. We succeeded in devising a low-cost IT plan that was highly successful in:
- Improving the responsiveness of the business to the needs of its clients
- Allowing the business to absorb an increasing workload without a proportionate increase in staff
- Eliminating many resource intensive paper-based processes
- Creating new opportunities to improve its service to clients and create further efficiencies
The new systems were instrumental in the subsequent dramatic growth of the company and became a major asset when the owners sold the business to a major conglomerate.
